Job Ready Program (JRP) Important Changes – Enhanced application and document submission process

For Job Ready Program (JRP) Applications

TRA will streamline the way applications and documents are sent to the Trades Recognition Service (TRA) for all steps of JRP starting 11 June 2020.

  • Step 1: Provisional Skills Assessment
  • Step 2: Job Ready Employment
  • Step 3: Job Ready Workplace Assessment
  • Step 4: Job Ready Final Assessment

Requirements are completed online via the TRA online portal for each step of the JRP, which can be accessed through the TRA website. Documentation supporting a request is required to be uploaded electronically at the time of submitting an application that must be in PDF format.

Applicants are no longer needed to print, download, and mail TRA application forms.

Once all the necessary fields have been completed, correct documents have been uploaded and the application fee payment is approved then JRP Application will be submitted online.

JRP applications submitted online before 11 June 2020 will be processed via email to and will be processed via TRA.


For JRP Supporting Documentation

All relevant documents must be submitted via the online portal of TRA as from 11 June 2020. Applicants are no longer expected to send supporting JRP documents to TRA via email.

Applicants must upload all supporting documents, such as skills and work reports, and payment information, to the TRA online portal through their online portal account.

Supporting documents submitted by email before 11 June 2020 will be processed and need not be uploaded to the online portal.


For JRP Applicant Guidelines Updates

The JRP Applicant Guidelines will be revised to reflect the processes of the submission of new applications and supporting documentation. For each JRP step, the eligibility conditions will remain the same.

If you wish to apply for any JRP step after June 11, 2020, you must follow the criteria of the program and submit your application as outlined in the JRP Applicant Guidelines in June 2020. Any queries about the JRP should be submitted by email to
